Chincoteague Island Outfitters (CIO) is a family owned and operated small business. We pride ourselves on providing great customer service and reasonable prices to ensure you have an amazing and stress-free vacation. Tammy & Martin are the owners of CIO and you will see their smiling faces every day at the shop. Martin ensures all the equipment is in pristine condition and Tammy will help you pick out the best gifts or get you set up for your kayak tour, bike rental or any other need. Upon arriving at CIO you will notice that the building has an uncustomary exterior. That is because it used to be Bill’s Garage, which is Tammy's dad. After Bill retired, Martin and Tammy ran the garage which eventually became home to Chincoteague Island Outfitters. We offer free delivery on the island & we also have our own private kayak/SUP dock! The high and low tides change daily so we recommend checking to make the most of your trip. If you rent a kayak or paddleboard and leave from our dock, no need to worry about the tides as we have a self-guided tour that will take you the best way based on the tides when you head out.
